Overview
The IFM G1501S is a high-performance safety relay (safety switch gear) designed for fail-safe monitoring of safety circuits in industrial automation applications. As a redundant system, this safety relay is suited for fail-safe sensor/switch monitoring (PNP and clocked types), two-hand control (electronic and mechanical switches), and simultaneity monitoring. It meets the requirements of EN ISO 13849-1: 2008 category 4 PL e, SIL 3 (IEC 61508), and type IIIC (EN 574). The relay provides 2 safety-related NO contacts (floating contacts) and 1 signal output (positive switching). Signal output is via potential-free relay contacts, with cross-monitoring and possible simultaneity monitoring. The G1501S enables connection of mechanical safety switches and electronic fail-safe sensors, and serves as a switching device for two-hand control with mechanical or electronic switches.
