The IFM O5D100 (O5DLCPKG/US) is a high‑performance photoelectric distance sensor utilizing Time‑of‑Flight (ToF) measurement technology . With a detection range of 0.03 m to 2 m, this sensor delivers reliable, contactless distance measurement even on challenging glossy surfaces, dark objects, or at oblique angles . The sensor features reliable background suppression and color‑independent detection, making it ideal for automated production lines, logistics, and packaging applications .

The O5D100 provides 2 PNP switching outputs (100 mA each, complementary NO/NC), an 11 Hz switching frequency, and IO‑Link V1.1 communication (COM2, 38.4 kBaud) for remote parameterisation and diagnostics . The 3‑digit alphanumeric display and pushbuttons enable precise on‑site switch point setting, displaying current distance in cm . Housed in a rectangular PA housing with stainless steel front frame (56 × 18.2 × 46.8 mm), the sensor is rated IP65/IP67, operates from -25 °C to 60 °C, and features a visible red laser (Class 2, 650 nm) with a 5 mm light spot at 2 m .
