KEYENCE FU‑77TZ is a compact thru‑beam fiber optic sensing head for non‑contact detection of small parts and objects in industrial automation systems. Its M4 hex‑shaped design and 2 m ToughFlex cable are intended for installation in constrained machinery environments while maintaining stable, high‑precision detection. The fiber unit is rated for wide‑temperature operation and is used as a peripheral sensing element with a compatible KEYENCE fiber amplifier (FS‑N, FS‑V series) which generates, receives and evaluates the optical signal.
Applications:
-
Position detection of miniature components in pick‑and‑place systems
-
Object presence verification on high‑speed conveyor and sorting lines
-
Parts counting and quality inspection in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing
-
Positioning tasks in packaging machinery requiring small sensing heads
Core Specifications:
-
Sensing mode: Thru‑beam (transmissive)
Advanced Specifications:
System Integration:
-
This fiber unit belongs to the KEYENCE FU series of fiber optic sensors.
-
Designed for use with KEYENCE FS‑N, FS‑V and compatible fiber amplifiers which supply light and process the return signal.
-
The M4 threaded hex‑shaped head allows single‑screw mounting in tight spaces.
-
The free‑cut 2 m fiber cable can be trimmed to exact length for cable management in confined machinery.
-
The cable can be routed with a minimum bend radius of R2 mm, preserving optical performance under mechanical stress.
-
For detailed installation and wiring instructions, refer to the product hardware manual and the respective fiber amplifier documentation.
