KEYENCE IV3-G120 Compact Model Sensor Amplifier 24V DC

KEYENCE IV3-G120 is a compact sensor amplifier for the IV3 series vision sensors. It connects to IV3 series camera heads (sold separately) and processes images using built‑in AI to perform pass/fail judgments based on learning, outline, color area, area, edge pixels, width, diameter, pitch, OCR and other detection tools. Standard mode and sorting mode are available. The unit provides 8 inputs (IN1 to IN8) and 8 outputs (OUT1 to OUT8). Built‑in Ethernet supports EtherNet/IP™, PROFINET and TCP/IP non‑procedure communication. Communication units (sold separately) add EtherCAT®, CC‑Link, DeviceNet®, RS‑232C or PROFIBUS connectivity. The amplifier can store up to 100 images internally; an SD card slot allows program and image backup/transfer. For use with AI Lighting unit, order separately.

System Integration:

• The IV3‑G120 belongs to the KEYENCE IV3 series of vision sensors. It requires a separate IV3 series camera head (sensor head) for operation.

• The amplifier can be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail.

• Built‑in Ethernet supports direct connection to PLCs via EtherNet/IP™ or PROFINET protocols, with TCP/IP non‑procedure communication also available.

• For fieldbus networks not covered by built‑in Ethernet, a separate DL Series communication unit (EtherCAT®, CC‑Link, DeviceNet®, RS‑232C or PROFIBUS) is required.

• An AI Lighting unit can be added to improve illumination for demanding inspection tasks.

• Images saved to the amplifier’s internal memory can be backed up to a USB memory stick inserted into the control panel (IV3‑CP50) or to a PC running the IV3 Series software (IV3‑H1).

• Simulator function is available only in the IV3‑H1 software.
