Mitsubishi FX2N-4AD MELSEC-F 4‑Channel Analog Input Module

Mitsubishi Electric FX2N‑4AD is a 4‑channel analog input special function block for MELSEC‑F FX series PLC systems. Converts analog signals from sensors and field devices into digital values for process monitoring and control. This product is discontinued and available for purchase only as a spare part for maintaining legacy FX2N‑based automation systems. For new installations, Mitsubishi recommends migrating to the FX3U‑4AD as a functionally upgraded replacement.

Product Status:
Discontinued. Mitsubishi Electric accepts product repairs for seven years after production of the product is discontinued. For legacy system maintenance, this module remains available as a spare part while stocks permit. For new installations, use the recommended successor (FX3U‑4AD) or consider migrating to the FX5U platform with FX5‑4AD‑ADP analog adapter.

Recommended replacement:

• FX3U‑4AD: 4‑channel analog input special function block for FX3U series. Provides 15‑bit + sign resolution (voltage: 0.32 mV, –10 to +10 V → –32,000 to +32,000) and 14‑bit + sign resolution (current: 1.25 μA for –20 to +20 mA, 1 μA for 4 to 20 mA). Digital ranges are significantly expanded compared to FX2N‑4AD (up to 16× higher resolution). Buffer memory addresses for digital values differ: FX2N‑4AD uses BFM #9–#12; FX3U‑4AD uses BFM #10–#13. Compatible with FX3U, FX3UC, and FX3G series PLCs.
