Mitsubishi Electric FX2N-4DA is a 4‑channel analog output special function block for the MELSEC‑F FX series programmable logic controller system. It converts digital control data from the PLC into precise voltage or current analog output signals, independently configurable for each channel. This module is discontinued and available as a spare part for maintaining existing FX2N‑based automation systems. For new designs, Mitsubishi recommends migrating to the FX3U‑4DA as a functionally upgraded replacement.
Applications:
-
Process control requiring variable voltage/current output (valve positioning, actuator control)
-
Industrial monitoring and regulation systems (flow, pressure, level control)
-
OEM equipment with legacy FX2N/FX3U PLC platforms
-
Spare part replacement for existing MELSEC‑F FX series installations
Product Status:
This product has been discontinued. It is available for purchase only as a spare part for maintaining legacy systems. Mitsubishi Electric accepts product repairs for seven years after production of the product is discontinued. For new installations, use FX3U‑4DA (recommended successor) or FX5U‑4DA depending on the PLC platform.

-
For detailed installation, wiring, and BFM configuration, refer to the FX2N‑4DA User's Manual.
Recommended Replacement:
-
FX3U‑4DA: 4‑channel analog output block for FX3U series. Provides 16‑bit resolution (voltage: 0.32 mV, current: 0.63 µA) with digital ranges –32,000 to +32,000, offering up to 16× higher voltage resolution and 32× higher current resolution compared to FX2N‑4DA. Output modes: 0: –10 to +10 V (–32,000 to +32,000); 1: –10 to +10 V (–10,000 to +10,000); 2: 0–20 mA (0–32,000); 3: 4–20 mA (0–32,000). BFM #0–#4 usage remains compatible.
-
FX5‑4DA‑ADP: 4‑channel analog output adapter for MELSEC iQ‑F (FX5U, FX5UC) series (12‑bit, voltage/current) for new system designs.
