Mitsubishi Electric FX5‑CCL‑MS is a CC‑Link system master/intelligent device module for MELSEC iQ‑F series PLC systems. It connects FX5U, FX5UC, FX5UJ and FX5S CPU modules to a CC‑Link network as a master station or intelligent device station, enabling distributed I/O control, remote device communication and fieldbus integration. The module supports CC‑Link Ver.1 and Ver.2, with a maximum transmission distance of 1200 m and selectable baud rates from 156 kbps to 10 Mbps. It complies with EC Directive (EMC Directive) and UL/cUL standards, and is configured using GX Works3 engineering software.

Applications:

  • CC‑Link network master station for remote I/O and remote device control

  • Distributed fieldbus integration in factory automation systems

  • Connecting multiple FX5 series PLCs to a single CC‑Link network

  • Legacy system expansion requiring CC‑Link fieldbus communication

  • Automotive assembly lines, 3C electronics manufacturing, food and beverage production lines

  • When FX5‑CCL‑MS is used as the master station, FX3U‑16CCL‑M cannot be used simultaneously

  • When FX5‑CCL‑MS is used as the intelligent device station, FX3U‑64CCL cannot be used simultaneously

System Integration:

  • This module belongs to the Mitsubishi Electric MELSEC iQ‑F series.

  • Configuration and parameter setting performed using GX Works3 engineering software (module profile available for download)

  • Station type, station number, mode and transmission speed must be set via module parameters; basic/application settings can be configured by program

  • Link refresh devices can use latch devices or I/O devices (X/Y) – when using I/O devices, use I/O numbers not assigned to actual control (e.g. X1000/Y1000 or higher)

  • For EC Directive (EMC Directive) compliance, attach a ferrite core to the power supplies of the CPU module and the FX5‑CCL‑MS, making two turns around the core within approximately 200 mm from the terminal block and connectors of the power cable

Standards & Compliance:
EC Directive (EMC Directive) compliant, UL/cUL standards compliant. Refer to manufacturer official documentation for detailed certification and compliance information.
