The Original New Mitsubishi FX5-ENET/IP is an intelligent EtherNet/IP communication module for the MELSEC iQ-F series programmable controllers. Installed as an expansion unit, it adds EtherNet/IP scanner capability to FX5U, FX5UC, FX5UJ, and FX5S CPU modules, enabling the PLC to exchange cyclic I/O data and message data with EtherNet/IP devices such as remote I/O blocks, drives, robots, and third-party controllers. The module also provides general-purpose Ethernet communication functions including MELSOFT connection, SLMP server, socket communication, simple CPU communication, and BACnet/IP. Dual RJ45 ports share a single IP address for flexible star or line topology wiring. This product has been announced as discontinued by Mitsubishi Electric, with the recommended successor being the FX5-EIP.
