Featuring a built-in 17-bit absolute feedback encoder (131,072 ppr) and a straight shaft, it delivers precise position detection without homing at power-up. The compact 80×80 mm flange mounting and IP55 protection make it suitable for machine tool feed axes, packaging machinery, and general industrial equipment. This product has been discontinued by Mitsubishi Electric (production ended 2013, service ended 2022) and is available as a spare part for maintaining existing MELSERVO-J2S installations.
