The Original New Omron CP1W-CIF01 is an RS-232C serial communication option board for the CP series programmable logic controller (PLC) platform, designed to add a single RS-232C port to compatible CPU units. Installed directly into the Option Board slot of CP1H, CP1L, CP1E, and CJ2M-CPU3x controllers, it enables point-to-point serial communication with HMIs, PCs, barcode readers, VFDs, temperature controllers, and other serial instruments. Supporting Host Link, NT Link, No-protocol, and Serial Gateway communication modes with baud rates up to 115.2 kbps, this compact board draws power directly from the CPU and requires no external power supply or additional DIN rail footprint. It provides a 15 m maximum transmission distance via a 9-pin D-sub female connector, making it suitable for control panel and machine-level serial integration in factory automation and OEM applications.
