Omron CP1W-CIF11 RS‑422A/485 Serial Communication Option Board

Omron CP1W‑CIF11 is a serial communication option board for CP series PLCs. Adds one RS‑422A or RS‑485 serial port to CP1H, CP1L, CP1E and CJ2M‑CPU3x controllers. Supports 4‑wire RS‑422A for long distance point‑to‑point communication and 2‑wire RS‑485 for multi‑drop networks. Powered directly from the PLC; no external power required. Mounts in either option board slot of compatible CPU units. Suitable for connecting inverters, HMIs, barcode readers and other serial devices.

System Integration:

• This option board belongs to the Omron CP1W series.

• One CP1W‑CIF11 per CPU unit can be mounted in either option board slot.

• DIP switches on the rear of the board set the transmission mode (2‑wire RS‑485 / 4‑wire RS‑422A), terminator, and line configuration.

• For distances exceeding 50 m, use the CP1W‑CIF12 (isolated, 500 m max.) or CP1W‑CIF01 plus NT‑AL001‑E.
