The Original New Schneider Electric TM3DQ8R is an 8-channel discrete output module for the Modicon TM3 I/O system, designed to expand the digital output capacity of Modicon M221, M241, M251, and M262 logic controllers. It provides 8 relay outputs (normally open, 2A per channel) with two isolated groups of 4 channels, allowing control of different voltage levels within a single module. A removable screw terminal block ensures secure field wiring. Part of the Modicon TM3 expansion family, it features a simple interlocking assembly mechanism for quick DIN rail mounting.

Installation Notes:

The COM0 and COM1 terminals are not connected internally — each group of 4 outputs has its own independent common

For inductive DC loads, connect a free-wheeling diode in parallel to each load to protect the relay contacts

For inductive AC loads, use an appropriate external protective circuit (e.g., RC snubber)

For relay output (2A) wiring, use conductors of at least 0.5 mm² (AWG 20) with a temperature rating of at least 80°C (176°F)

For common conductors (7A), use conductors of at least 1.0 mm² (AWG 16)
