SICK UFN3-70B413 is an ultrasonic fork sensor for reliable detection of labels and materials regardless of printed design, transparency or surface characteristics. Unlike optical sensors, it operates on ultrasonic detection principle where the thickness of a material determines the degree to which the sensor absorbs sound waves. Detects 2 mm spaced labels and objects including transparent labels on transparent film. 3 mm fork width, 69 mm fork depth, 18 × 47.5 × 92.5 mm aluminium housing, IP65. 250 µs response time, 1,500 Hz switching frequency, PNP/NPN push-pull output, M8 4-pin male connector.
Applications:
-
Label detection on adhesive tape, transparent film and metallic foils
-
Double‑sheet detection for multi‑layer materials
-
Packaging machinery and labelling equipment
-
Automated production lines in food, beverage and printing industries
Technical Specifications:
